THE WORK IS
ONLY PART OF THE STORY.

Pretty marketing is nice.

I'm more interested in what it was supposed to do.

Here you'll find websites, campaigns, content, branding and ongoing marketing work, along with the strategy, business goals and results behind it.

Smart Set Community Printing

Turning a strong local reputation into a marketing system built for growth.

Smart Set had been printing in Minneapolis for 40 years. The reputation was there. The marketing infrastructure wasn't.

There was no consistent social presence, search performance wasn't being tracked, products didn't have dedicated landing pages, and there wasn't a system for pursuing B2B opportunities.

The goal was bigger than getting more attention.

Increase sales, grow B2B business, and work toward Smart Set's first $1 million sales year.

The Receipts

25%
reported sales growth

164%
increase in monthly organic clicks

102%
increase in search impressions

5,000
new social followers in one year

2,220
new customers attributed to social media

36.7 → 9.5
average Google search position

The work has included building product landing pages, creating and tracking an SEO strategy, developing social content around the people and expertise behind the business, and building a more intentional approach to B2B sales and relationship building.

Smart Set is currently projected to reach $1 million in annual sales for the first time in its 40-year history.

Longfellow Rising

Making a seven-block mission easier to understand.

Longfellow Rising works within seven blocks of East Lake Street in Minneapolis, supporting the long-term rebuilding and revitalization of an area heavily affected by the 2020 uprising.

The work was happening, but the organization needed a clearer identity and a better way to communicate what it did, why it existed and how the community could participate.

What I worked on

Brand strategy · Rebrand · Website · Messaging · Social media · Photography · Video · Email · Fundraising campaigns · Events · Print · Community communications

The Receipts

$7,000+
raised in seven months

$5,000
fundraising campaign fully funded

0 → 450+
Instagram followers

+220
Facebook followers

4,000
website visitors in seven months

The work started with clarifying the organization itself: a new visual identity, a new website and clearer messaging around its geographic focus and mission.

From there, I built an ongoing communications presence through social media, newsletters, interviews, event promotion, printed materials and stories about redevelopment happening throughout the neighborhood.

For an organization focused on seven blocks of Minneapolis, the goal isn't the biggest audience.

It's reaching the right one.

WEBSITES

6 websites built in 2026.

Different businesses. Different goals. Different budgets.

Some needed a full website built from the ground up. Others needed better messaging, stronger SEO, a clearer structure or a site that finally reflected the business they'd become.

The budget changes what's possible. It doesn't change how I approach the work.

I start with the business: who needs to find you, what they need to understand, what action you want them to take, and what the website needs to do to support your goals.

OLDER WORK

Screenshot of Google Search Console data showing website performance metrics over 16 months, including total clicks, impressions, and graphs of search trends. Annotated with notes about SEO updates and rank improvements for a local Minnesota business.

2 Million+ Impressions. 11 K+ Visits.

Over 16 months, I helped a local Minnesota cleaning company generate more than 2.19 million impressions and 11,500 site visits through organic SEO alone. No ad spend. Just strategic updates that kept them visible month after month.

Screenshot of Google Business Profile performance analytics showing 12,460 profile views, 2,881 searches, and search term breakdown, with pie chart of platform and device usage.

12,460 Google Profile Views in One Month

By optimizing their business profile, I helped one local cleaning company get over 12,000 views in just a month and rank for keywords like “cleaning services Minneapolis” and “house cleaning services.”

Social Media That Drives Action

These weren’t viral posts, they were intentional campaigns that moved people to click, call, and convert.

Campaign Highlights:

  • 821 clicks from a single post

  • 79,000+ views and 479 site visits

  • 68,000+ views and 570 link taps

  • 64,000+ views and 557 clicks

While likes are nice, I care more about what a post does.

These results came from focused, creative, audience alignment, and brand strategy.
